Marise Duguay

Mixed media, jewelry Magog, Québec, Canada

her production covers a variety of themes and techniques. From landscape/garden to wide open spaces, from the little waxing bird to the lyrical flight of barnacles, from the intimate to the public space, all subjects are a pretext for sensitive pictorial research and increasingly original compositions. Her work is marked by the nostalgia of the great spaces and the sea of her childhood. Her approach shows her fascination with the character that allows her to develop a plastic, personal and very poetic language. Her integration of different materials weaves a real skin on the canvas, which seems to grow. Color touches the surface, a subtle play of light and shade, in a refined palette where the golds, ochres, greens and reds tell us the secrets of the work she creates.
