Luc Demers

Luc began sculpting by training with Pierre Chouinard in the 2000s. Since then, he has been creating bas-relief sculptures mainly on linden wood frames.

Each of his works is accompanied by a hand-painted canvas by his wife. It complements the sculpture. They wanted to innovate and create such works, which they have been presenting to the public for 20 years at symposiums throughout Quebec. He is very meticulous both in sculpting a piece and in treating and staining the wood.

He has always greatly enjoyed woodworking, and bas-relief sculpture brings him great satisfaction as well as great pleasure in executing it.
