Canadian artist of Korean origin, Yong Sook Kim-Lambert, acquaints us with her quest for identity. Her work and creative process being deeply rooted in her Buddhist past, the act of painting has become a meditation. This presents itself in her choice to use a limited palette, thus allowing her to explore consciousness within pre-established parameters.

She works in both abstract and figurative styles simultaneously and sometimes she applies printmaking technique in to her art work. The desire to incorporate printmaking in to her art work forms an important aspect of her artistic development, namely exploring the expressive qualities of both material and process.

Member of RAAV and Atelier Circulaire, she has participated in solo and group exhibition in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. She has received many awards; most recently in 2022, she was the recipient of a grant from the CALQ.

Her work is featured in public and private collections, in particular: Loto-Québec, Bibilothèque et Archives nationales du Québec, Canadian Museum of History, House of Commons of Canada, Musée Laurier and the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in the United-States.
