Denis Guertin

My aim is to share my passion for wood with my customers, to introduce them to the unique character of each “piece” of wood. Wood is always alive, and it speaks to me. It’s my duty to bring out the best in every part of a board, and to avoid waste. I make a point of maximizing every scrap by gluing every little piece back together to integrate them into my games.

Curious by nature, I take advantage of the wide range of resources offered by the Internet and spend many hours looking at the works of furniture greats such as Sam Maloof and George Nagashima, 2 masters of the last decade.

I’m constantly on the lookout for ideas from the past, which is why I brought back Rota’s game from the era of ancient Rome. I like to take a mundane game and transform it, as evidenced by my Cribbage boards or my new Tock games.

My wife and one of our sons are now full-time in this adventure.

What a joy to know that our products will be used to prepare meals for family and friends, and that our games will make people laugh and smile. From us to you…
