A self-taught artist, I use flux-cored welding and I cold bend metal. My sculptures are primarily made of reclaimed material, but not exclusively.

My favorite source of inspiration is nature. It’s fragility and resilience impress me much, especially when everything else seems to escape from us. My goal is to pay homage to nature in the most beautiful way that I can.

I love transforming this heavy, cold material so that it evokes both lightness and flexibility. Each piece requires a lot of time, concentration, and meticulous attention to detail. When I enter the creation process, I also enter a meditative-like state of mind where patience and inner peace are keys. This feeling of being able to reconcile resilience and fragility through such a forbidding material is deeply satisfying. I like to believe that, like nature, it’s the same forces implemented within me that allow my subjects to emerge to life.
