Michel Bornais

Michel Bornais is a self-taught sculptor and a stone lover. Many walkings tours in Stanstead granite quarry and along the conversion shops gave him subjet matter to shape forms and images. Ideas comes easily, inspired by primitive art, tribal art, antique history, archeology and nature. Granite impose itself with strenght and sensual delight.

Functionals or decoratives : mortars, mini zen gardens, bonsaï plates, trivets, all sizes and shapes statues, sometimes with polished stones, metal, wood or plants to enhauced the beauty. In summer 2013, he build a sculptural dressed stones wall of 22 feet long with wood and metal.
