While exploring the mountain paths and working the soil in my garden, I fill my head with
thousands of interwoven images that nourrish a very personal iconography. The collection « Les sentiers », produced with acrylic on canvas or paper, presents very soft and intricate
monochromatic landscapes that recall different patterns found on textile, lace, tapestry and wall paper. It is inspired by the techniques of marbling, made by a succession of transparent glazes, followed by the creation of veins, fossils and mineral deposits. The whites form the landscape through patterns, textures, dots, hatching and silhouettes. This entanglement guides the spectator’s gaze through the path’s meanderings, through foliages, branches, brambles, bushes, roots, cliffs, crests, brooks and marshes. As if penetrating a forest, the spectator is transported to a dreamy place, where he is invited to explore a thousand paths, a thousand landscapes.
